All afterschool activities are also canceled. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority, and we encourage everyone to stay safe as the weather moves through our community. We apologize for the late notice, as we wanted to gather as much information as possible before making this decision. We appreciate your understanding.

Mrs. Rickborn’s class at Williams Memorial Elementary got a close look at plant science. Students dissected real flowers to study the parts of a plant and how they work together.

Wearing goggles and using magnifying glasses, students carefully pulled the flowers apart, taped the pieces to their papers, and labeled each part. As they worked, Mrs. Rickborn helped them identify parts like the petals and stem and explained how plants grow and reproduce.
