Each AP spent the day at a different school, gaining valuable insight into new environments, leadership styles, and age groups. The group came together for lunch at the District Office to reflect, share experiences, and discuss lessons learned, turning a single day into a powerful opportunity for growth and collaboration.

Students in Mrs. Forest’s Pre-Kindergarten class at WMES worked hard to complete a STEM task on Halloween. Students read the book Five Little Pumpkins and then worked in groups to build a gate for their five little pumpkins to sit on. Students practiced perseverance while learning to work with others as they built their gates. All students had fun connecting literature and engineering!

Mrs. Griffith’s kindergarten students at Williams Memorial Elementary are building early reading and writing skills through their CKLA lesson on short vowel sounds! Students practiced sounding out and writing simple words like van, hog, hat, and fan while connecting letters to their matching pictures.
From group instruction to hands-on writing practice, students worked hard to strengthen their phonics, handwriting, and confidence as young readers.
