I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Charleston Southern University in December 1999.
I have been teaching in Dorchester District 4 since January 2000.
I have taught at WMES, Clay Hill Middle School, Harleyville-Ridgeville Elementary, and back at WMES. This will be my 8th year in 5th grade at WMES. I will be teaching social studies again this year.
My husband, Shawn, and I live right here in St. George along with our 4 children. My oldest daughter, Baylynn is a freshman at Woodland High School. My second daughter, Madilynn will be in 6th grade at St. George Middle School. My two sons are at Williams Memorial with me. Jet will be in 4th grade, and Maverick will be in kindergarten.
We have 3 dogs. Tiger is a 14 year old Jack Russell terrier. Joker is a yellow lab who is a little over a year old. We just recently adopted/rescued a chihuahua mix that we named Roscoe.
My family is active in the community. We participate in the athletic programs in town as well as in the school district. I thoroughly enjoy coaching soccer, basketball, and baseball. When I'm not coaching, I love to watch and cheer for my own children as well as my Monday-Friday kiddos too! I also enjoy reading whenever I can find the time!
