I was born and raised in Charleston, SC. My husband and I have two children (a son named Mason and a daughter named Eleanor) and a chocolate lab named Delta. Outside of school, I love photography, being on the water out in the sun, traveling, Reese's milkshakes from Cookout (or anything with Reese's), and everything monogrammed.
This is my tenth year teaching. I student taught in a single-gender boys' third grade class in Dorchester Two at Knightsville Elementary while in college. From there, I taught fourth grade (all subjects) in Berkeley County for three years at Whitesville Elementary, including one year of GT. When we moved from Moncks Corner, I transferred to Williams Memorial where I've taught fifth grade writing, fourth grade social studies, and now third grade.
I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Charleston Southern University, my Gifted and Talented Endorsement from College of Charleston, and my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.
