Subjects Taught
Fifth Grade

I graduated high school in 1993 from Dorchester Academy.  I am a 1997 graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I earrned my Master's degree from FMU in 1998 in Learning Disabilities. I  continued my education at Columbia College to earn my plus 30 with a focus in Divergent Learning.  I am also a Nationally Board Certificated Teacher.

I started teaching in January 1999 at Hunter Kinard High School in a Special Education classroom. From there I moved to Hunter Kinard Elementary to teach a pre- k through 3rd grade Special Education class.  In an effort to move closer home I accepted a job at Williams Memorial Elementary in 2002 where I taught K - 3 Resource.  In 2005  I began teaching Third Grade.  I continued to teach third grade for 11 years with an amazing group of ladies!  However, after 11 years I was ready to try something new.  When the opportunity to teach 5th grade math became availble, I was excited to take on the new challenge! I am now beginning my second year as a fifth grade teacher!

I grew up in St. George and graduated from Dorchester Academy.  After graduating college in 1999 I moved into my Mom's family home in Branchville where I continue to live with my husband Tripp and two daughters, Ruby age 11, and Josie age 8.
